Sweepstakes Win

The last couple weeks have been good for my sweepstakes loving girlfriend and I.  I won a handcrank cell phone charger/flashlight combo and a $30 gift card.  My girlfriend won a $40 gift card.  Those of you who’ve read my book “How to Make Money Winning Sweepstakes and Contests”  or been reading the blog for a while know that I have rather specific rules for what contests I enter.  My general rule of thumb is that I require a sweepstakes to have a prize that $100 or more if it’s single entry and $500 if it’s a daily entry.  You don’t need to be a mathematician to realize that the recent prizes that we won do not meet this threshold requirement, so what gives?

We were second runners up in these sweepstakes and didn’t have to walk away empty handed.  We maximized our time by focusing on sweepstakes with a good cash value, but we still were rewarded for efforts even though we didn’t take the top prize.  Small wins definitely add up, so we’re happy for it.  My point on not intentionally aiming for smaller prizes is that you need to prioritize your limited amount of time.  If you end up winning smaller prizes like we did, then celebrate, but still keep your focus on high quality/priced rewards.  This is why some of my favorite sweepstakes are the ones that offer lots of prizes beyond just a big grand prize.  You stand to be very successful and potentially financially rewarded by entering sweepstakes that have lots of prizes.  Not every win has to be the car or vacation.  Little wins add up, especially when you follow the advice in my book about how to turn those prizes into cash flow.  Bottom line is that you should appreciate the small wins, but still aim for the larger ones that meet the appropriate monetary level to make entries worth your time.

So speaking of the last couple weeks… they’ve been great!  Unfortunately they’ve been crazy busy and I’ve been slacking on my usual sweepstakes entry schedule.  Being a webmaster for this site has been a little time consuming, but incredibly rewarding.  If you enjoy the blog and the kind of stuff I’m putting out, please share it with your friends.  This past weekend I headed down to South Florida for some fun in the sun.  I took some videos while I was in Miami and posted them on my YouTube channel, so check that out.  I’ve also been working on a couple projects that I’ll be sharing with you all soon. One of them is an audio version of my eBook on sweepstakes linked earlier in this post.  The second is still in the concept phase, but will discuss an issue very close to my heart… luck.  I’ve always had incredible luck and use certain techniques on a regular basis that I believe facilitate that luck.  I want to share those technique and I think the best way to do that is in the form of a book.  Writing is an addictive outlet for me, so I think it was inevitable that I’d start thinking about another book project. More to follow on that!

In the meantime, enjoy the blog and please share the link with your friends.  If you have ideas for articles or would like to submit a guest post on the subject of sweepstakes (or a related subject) please contact me at: j l o u i s (at) a r t o f w i n n i n g b l o g . c o m (all together… obsfucated to disuade spammers).
